Book Review: The Rise and Fall of Dispensationalism

The Rise and Fall of Dispensationalism represents Hummel’s attempt to explain how this system of theology spread through virtually all levels of society and culture and fell into relative insignificance in the span of less than two hundred years. However, his arguments are too often based on insufficient or selectively edited evidence to be compelling.

Women and All the Rest

As long as a ministry role does not violate NT principles, it would not be wrong for a woman to hold the position.

Female Apostles?

No one disputes the fact that women served in the early church as missionaries. But it is careless to see Paul use the term apostle without considering the sense in which it is intended.

Female Deacons and Ministry Partners?

These worked alongside the apostle in preaching the gospel and establishing churches among the Gentiles. While it is noteworthy that women served in this capacity, it is not a title for any office in the church, nor does it imply any measure of leadership or authority.
