You Can’t Buy Life!
Men who are fools are like sheep, never thinking beyond the immediate and obvious, and as a result they are totally unprepared for the day of their death, and their bodies simply go to the grave and rot. People who are wise on the other hand live for the world to come; they pursue righteousness rather than wealth, a long life, physical beauty, or a lasting legacy.
Little > Much
The righteous man, though he appears to be alone, is actually being supported by the strength of the Lord, and so he will not fall, though an army come against him. To be righteous with little is undoubtedly better than to be rich but stand in opposition to God!
Have the Foundations Been Destroyed?
God is in heaven, seated upon his throne; he has not abdicated his place of authority, nor has he forgotten about his duty to act as a righteous Judge. The wicked are no threat to his throne, nor are they able to enter into his temple for it is holy.
