We can all tell the difference between one that is alive and one that is dead, but if you had to explain what causes one plant to thrive in the sunlight and the other to dry up, you’d be hard-pressed to say anything except, “It’s dead.”
The Word is the creator of all the things which have come to be; things that never came to be are by definition eternal and do not need to be made.
No matter how far back we go, we can never find a time when the Son wasn’t with the Father, grew closer to the Father, or was ever not in a relationship with him. God the Father and God the Son have always been in complete fellowship with each other.
