I can imagine a man in the family of the Gershonites or the Merarites looking with envy at his Kohathite cousin carrying the ark or the golden altar of incense and wishing that he could carry something more significant than a curtain or a pole.

You Can’t Buy Life!

Men who are fools are like sheep, never thinking beyond the immediate and obvious, and as a result they are totally unprepared for the day of their death, and their bodies simply go to the grave and rot. People who are wise on the other hand live for the world to come; they pursue righteousness rather than wealth, a long life, physical beauty, or a lasting legacy.

The righteous man, though he appears to be alone, is actually being supported by the strength of the Lord, and so he will not fall, though an army come against him. To be righteous with little is undoubtedly better than to be rich but stand in opposition to God!
